Guard Tour Log — Terms of Use (End User License Agreement)

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you ("you", "user") and Plainside Labs ("Plainside Labs", "we", "us") governing your use of the Guard Tour Log mobile application ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on a device you own or control, for your personal or internal business use, in accordance with these Terms and the applicable app store's terms.

2. Distribution and app store terms

The App is distributed through Google Play. Your use is also subject to Google Play's terms and policies. If any conflict arises between these Terms and the app store's terms regarding distribution, the app store's terms govern that aspect.

3. The App is a tool — no guarantee of outcomes

The App helps you scan checkpoints, log shifts, and record incidents. It is a record-keeping tool only. It does not provide security services and does not guarantee any safety, security, or compliance outcome. You remain solely responsible for your duties, conduct, and decisions on shift.

We do not warrant that records, timestamps, GPS coordinates, or PDF reports produced by the App will be accurate, complete, or accepted as official or legal evidence by any employer, client, court, or authority. GPS and time data depend on your device and environment and may be unavailable or imprecise (for example, indoors). Do not rely on the App as your sole record where accuracy is critical.

4. Your data and your device

The App stores your data locally on your device. We do not host, back up, or have access to it. You are responsible for:

• the security of your device and the data on it;
• exporting and backing up any reports you need to keep;
• any loss of data resulting from device loss, damage, reset, or uninstalling the App.

We are not liable for any loss of data stored locally.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where permitted by law;
• interfere with or disrupt the App, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to it;
• misrepresent records created with the App or use it to deceive.

You are responsible for complying with all laws that apply to you, including any rules on recording, photography, location tracking, and data handling in your jurisdiction and at the sites you patrol.

6. Intellectual property

The App, its content, design, and the "Guard Tour Log" and "Plainside Labs" names and logos are owned by or licensed to Plainside Labs and protected by applicable laws. These Terms grant you a license to use the App, not any ownership rights. Other names or brands referenced are the property of their respective owners.

7. Pricing and future paid features

The App is currently free to use. We may introduce paid features (such as a one-time unlock or subscription) in the future. Any purchases will be processed through Google Play and governed by additional terms presented at the time, together with Google Play's terms.

8. Third-party services

The App may use Google Play services, including Google Play In-App Review. These are provided by Google under Google's own terms and policies.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plainside Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App — even if advised of the possibility. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App (which may be zero).

11. Termination

These Terms apply until terminated. Your license ends automatically if you breach them. You may end them at any time by uninstalling the App. Sections that by their nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) survive termination.

12. Changes

We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [страна / юрисдикция], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
